Later in 1998, the airline changed its name to SATA Internacional in 1998 and then to Azores Airlines in 2015. Azores Airlines operates scheduled domestic flights from the Azores to the Madeira Islands and mainland Portugal and international flights from the Azores to Africa, Europe, and North America.
