TAP Air Portugal, founded in 1945, is the flag carrier of Portugal. Its headquarters are located in Lisbon. With a fleet of 88 aircraft, the airline serves a total of 87 destinations. Travelers can make TAP Air Portugal reservations and fly to cities like Algiers, Brussels, Toronto and Prague. TAP Air Portugal’s primary hub is Lisbon Airport, while its secondary hub is Porto Airport. The focus city of this airline is Madeira Airport. The air carrier is a member of the airline alliance group called Star Alliance. It provides a frequent flyer program for its regular customers by the name of TAP Miles&Go. Baggage Policy
Passengers with TAP Air Portugal flight tickets flying to/from North America are allowed to carry one piece of carry-on baggage along with one personal item. The weight of the carry-on baggage cannot be more than 18 lb. Its linear dimension cannot exceed 45 inches. The weight of the personal item cannot be more than 4 lb. Its linear dimension cannot exceed 33 inches.
The checked baggage allowance depends on a passenger’s flight fare and flight route. Please be informed that the checked baggage allowance for children (between the age of 2 and 11 years) is the same as the checked baggage allowance for adults. Babies below the age of 2 years are allowed to take along a maximum of 22 lb. as checked baggage; except when they’re traveling with TAP discount fare.
